Employment Status: Full-Time caregiver to disabled son
How long has she been a patient: 14 years
Health Conditions: Multiple heart-related issues
How Many Medications Currently Receiving: 5

Although Johanny worked at her previous employer for 17 years, she was never able to afford health coverage for herself because it was too expensive.  Johanny lost her full-time job last year after suffering a stroke and undergoing heart surgery.  She is a single mom raising a son with a disability.  Without access to healthcare and medication from the clinic, she would have to go without the medication she needs to stay healthy and out of the hospital.

Johanny stated that she’d “be dead” without the clinic and medications.

No one should go without the medication they need!

“I don’t know what I’d do. I’d lose everything without this.”

Employment Status: Works Full-Time
How long has she been a patient: 3 years
Health Conditions: GI issues, thyroid cancer, hypertension, diabetes
How Many Medications Currently Receiving: 9

Tina was working as a full-time nurse with health coverage when she had to stop working to be a caregiver for two ailing family members.  She was without health insurance when disaster struck—she had two health emergencies and no place to go.  She was seen at the clinic and they started addressing her numerous health conditions with the help of Rx Partnership’s medications.  Tina is now self-employed as a full-time care attendant but cannot afford marketplace insurance so she’s still being seen at Lloyd Moss Free Clinic.  Her health has improved since having consistent access to healthcare and medications and is no longer in the hospital emergency room once a month.  Tina states that “she wouldn’t know what to do if she couldn’t take her medications” through Rx Partnership and fears she would end up back at the hospital.

Rx Partnership means “life” for Tina. “Not just breathing and walking around, but also a quality of life back.  I feel safe again and with a new purpose.  Thank you.”

Lizbeth C.

Age: 43
Employment Status: Works Full-Time
How long has she been a patient: 3 years
Health Conditions: Gallbladder disease, fatty liver, thyroid, gastritis
How Many Medications Currently Receiving: 5

Lizbeth is a hardworking single mother who works full-time but cannot get insurance through her job.  Before coming to the clinic, she would take over-the-counter medications to feel better even though some of her ailments needed to be treated with prescription medications.  When she could visit a doctor, she would only take medication sporadically which would cause her conditions to worsen.  For years Lizbeth’s health deteriorated as she always put the needs of her family first and herself second.

With Rx Partnership’s help, she is able to fill and take her medications on-time and regularly and her overall health has improved.  Rx Partnership’s programs allow hardworking single moms like her to have the medications they need to stay healthy and support their families.

No one should go without the medication they need!

“I’m very grateful.  I don’t have to choose between family and medications.”

Employment Status: Part-time
How long has she been a patient: 15 years
Health Conditions: Multiple
How Many Medications Currently Receiving: 10

Pam “lived a normal life” until she didn’t.  Her husband had his own business that supported their household—until he had a stroke and lost everything.  “We had insurance. We had everything. My husband had his own business. Then he had a massive stroke.  We lost our business and we lost our health insurance. I didn't go to the doctor for years, because I couldn’t afford it. Then a friend told me about the clinic, and I’ve been coming here for 15 years. They have saved my life 3 times!  I wouldn’t be sitting here right now if it wasn’t for the medications or the clinic.”

No one should go without the medication they need!

“I wouldn’t be sitting here right now if it weren’t for the medications.  I’m still alive because of your support.”

Yemane is an immigrant who became a patient at Arlington Free Clinic while he was living at a shelter.  His wife works full-time at a job that doesn’t offer health insurance.  He wasn’t able to take the medications he needed because he couldn’t afford his medications.  As a result, his health worsened.

With Rx Partnership’s help, he now is able to take his medications on schedule, as prescribed, has lowered his A1C levels and can now manage his diabetes.  He even has been able to decrease the amount of medications he’s taking!  Yemane is healthier and feeling better and told RxP staff that he doesn’t even have to take OTC medications anymore.  Rx Partnership’s programs help patients like Yemane have access to the medications they need.

No one should go without the medication they need!

How long has she been a patient: 14 years
Health Conditions: Diabetes, hypertension, DVT clot
How Many Medications Currently Receiving: 11 or 12

Maria is employed part-time at a job that does not offer access to insurance.  Before becoming a patient at the clinic, she had to pay out of pocket for her medications.  She could not afford to pay $10 or more for each of her 11 to 12 medications so she took her prescriptions irregularly, if at all.

Since becoming a patient at the clinic, she has access to the medications she needs to stay healthy, work and support her family.  Her health is stable and she has her diabetes under control all because she is able to take her medications on a consistent schedule.

No one should go without the medication they need!

“I honestly don’t have words to express how I feel. I’m very grateful.
I don’t know what I would do.  What you do is priceless.”
